Indoor golfing experiences have come a long way, and Carl’s Place continues to set new course records. The brand's new Curved Golf Enclosure Kit is the first DIY-friendly curved-screen simulator, and it's the kind of gift golf-enthusiasts are scooping up.

Like other products in the lineup, the technical aspects and construct are amazing, but the panoramic, wraparound experience of this curved screen design is the differentiator. And, frankly, is better than many commercial golf simulators we've seen and used.

Without the need for professional installation, this indoor golfing system looks to make high-end simulation more accessible for room design and home improvements. It's great for those looking to turn a garage, basement, or spare room into an immersive, enjoyable golfing experience. And, with a range of sizes, depths, and custom options, we love that this enclosure can scale to fit your space and your game.

A More Realistic Indoor Golf Setup

A flat screen can only take you so far. Don't get us wrong, we've tried them, we love them. But just like curved monitors enhance gaming and The Sphere elevates live music, a curved golfing screen wraps around your field of vision, making it easier to judge shots, track real golf ball movements, and feel like you’re actually standing on the course.

It’s the kind of setup that used to require a professional team to install, but Carl’s Place designed this kit with DIYers in mind.

It's made for full-impact play using three layers of tightly woven, impact-resistant polyester. This high-quality material creates a smooth surface, and light-absorbing Blackstop™ Fabric to minimize distractions.

Sizes, Depths, and Custom Options

Not every space is the same, and this simulator adapts to your needs. The curved screen kit comes in multiple sizes and depths, allowing you to choose the right fit for your dedicated golf space. And, if you love the curved impact screen but want something specific, Carl’s Place also offers custom sizing.

Here’s what to consider when picking the right setup:

  • Location, location, location — Whether you're buying the golf simulator for a spare bedroom, your basement, or considering adding an outdoor shed to suit, choose a location that works. If you need it, here's advice on excavating a low-ceiling basement to make space. And, for those of you looking to construct a golf simulator shed on your property, Carl's Place sells architectural blueprints for $499.95. Many of the structures can double as a guest suite.
  • Check space requirements – Measure your room’s width, depth, and height to find the best fit. The standard enclosure sizes for the curved simulator range from 9' high x 14' wide to 10' high x 17' wide. The standard sizes for depth range from 8' to 15'. Custom sizes are also available. If you want to be able to swing all your golf clubs, find a space with 10' ceilings.
  • Curvature preference – A deeper curved design gives a more immersive experience; a shallower curve saves space.
  • Hitting distance – Make sure you have enough room to swing freely. It's not included, but you can always outfit your space with extra padding to protect the walls from shanked shots.
  • Projection setup – The curved screen works best with the BenQ AK700ST, BenQ LK936ST, or LG ProBeam BU53RG projectors. The brand offers all separately because their integrated warping capabilities have been tested and align with the simulator screen.

Easy Setup, High-Impact Experience

Traditional curved simulators are complicated and expensive to install; however, this kit is designed for a smooth DIY installation, and that's why we like it so much.

Steel fittings and elbows are designed for durability and quick assembly and the screen attaches securely without special tools. The 2-inch EMT pipes are are sold separately, and that's intentional. As a representative explained to me, customers can easily source pipes at their own hardware store and cut them to size at home with basic tools; you can order pieces precut from Carl's Place, but the company leaves it up to the consumer knowing that buying locally could be a more cost-effective option.

The result? A sleek, professional-looking setup that pulls you into the game. Whether you’re fine-tuning your swing or starting a league with your friends, this enclosure brings the course to you.
