Samsung has carved a niche in the television market with The Frame, blending art and technology in a way that has redefined home entertainment. Unlike traditional TVs, The Frame TV stands out due to its unique design that doubles as both a television and a piece of art. We bought one for ourselves five years ago after seeing a then-rare Black Friday offer, and have loved it for our home. Not only does it help to enhance the viewing experience in our home's kitchen, but when it's off, it has fooled our friends and family into thinking we have a 43" picture frame.

Does The Frame ever go on sale?

Yes, but you'll have to look for the offers! We recommend monitoring around all the major holidays — including Prime Days — because you can absolutely find all sizes of The Frame discounted from MSRP. For what it's worth, if you like The Frame, you'll probably also like The Serif, so be on the lookout for savings on that product, too.

One big sale to watch for: The Discover Samsung Fall Sale takes place from September 9-15, 2024, and you can sign up on the website to get daily notifications for certain offers. All week long you can grab The Frame for up to 17% off ($899 for 43") but we also noticed that on September 12th, you can save up to 23% (that's up to $700 off). Promotion prices on 9/12 start at just $549.

P.S. On September 9th, they're offering 25% off Music Frame, another awesome innovation that'll help you amp your audio. They sent us one to try earlier in the year. It has great sound quality and it holds actual artwork (not digital).

The Frame TV: Blurring the Lines Between Art and Entertainment

Samsung's The Frame TV is designed to look like a picture frame when not in use, and yes, while I've tricked many visitors in my own home, I usually describe it to others as having a backlit vibe — kind of like airport signage. It's not a bad attribute, but a keen eye would quickly distinguish it from a traditional wall art display.

It can display art pieces from Samsung’s Art Store, featuring thousands of works from renowned artists and museums worldwide. The TV’s customizable bezels allow users to match it with their home decor, offering a personalized touch that traditional TVs simply can’t provide. This unique approach has made The Frame TV incredibly popular among those who value both style and functionality. The TV features QLED technology, providing vibrant colors, deep contrasts, and high-resolution images that bring both TV shows and art pieces to life.

How Does The Samsung Frame TV Work?

The Frame TV uses a feature called Art Mode that displays pieces of art or photos when the TV is not in use. This is controlled via motion sensors that detect when someone is in the room, switching off to save energy when no one is present. It connects to the Samsung Art Store, where users can access a vast library of art within the art subscription service, or upload their own photos.

Is The Frame TV Worth It?

We think so and aren't sponsored to say it. As I mentioned earlier, we bought a 43" The Frame TV on our own and it's something we use daily. It came with a black frame and I ordered a light wood magnetic frame bezel to complement our space. While it is priced higher than standard TVs, we were drawn to it because it would sit perfectly flush with the wall just like any wall art instead of protruding at an unwanted angle. We know that people will always find something to complain about, but as opposed to other TV brands in our household, it holds up, even now that it's five years old — importantly, its smart features haven't diminished with age. Samsung The Frame has a great color quality, awesome audio quality (especially considering it's mounted flat on a wall), and has become the kind of product we'd put in every room of the house. Its QLED display offers stunning picture quality, and its ability to transform into art makes it a unique addition to the space.
