Keeping a pool clean isn't easy. For many homeowners, manual pool vacuums involve a whole routine with the extension poles and the hoses and drainage and unwanted backflow. Sure, it's easy to pretend that vacuuming your pool can be a zen part of your day, but it's a lot easier to outsource this job and use the time you saved to actually enjoy the water. When you're sick of managing this chore or tired of paying a pool company to get the job done for you, I 100% encourage you to look into pool robotic vacuum cleaners. We do a lot to monitor advancements in smart home technology, and we weren't ready to believe that pool vacuums could be so effective until we tried it ourselves. Nor did we realize that they'd actually save us hours every week.
Beatbot challenged us to look differently at pool vacuums, and you might just say that they won. The Beatbot AquaSense Pro is already an award-winning product and the World's First All-in-one Intelligent Pool Cleaning Robot. After trying it all season, we can confirm that the groundbreaking brand has taken a pool vacuum to an entirely new level.
5-in-1 Cleaning Capabilities: Industry-First Technology
- Obviously, it cleans the floor of the pool. Just like your manual vacuum, it can scrub and offers consistent suction to clean debris and dirt.
- It cleans the pool walls. This is something we can't entirely explain, but love watching in action. The suction is so powerful that the track wheels actually scale the walls of the pool. In our inground pool, it not only navigates up the vertical walls, but climbs up to clean the various ledges in the deep end. The product is also approved for use in above-ground pools.
- It also cleans the water line. Scrubbing the walls, let alone waterline cleaning is a real chore, and not something that we ever did during our regular vacuuming missions. Prior to this year, it was a very manual task. This year, we haven't thought twice about a scum line; it's simply not an issue. When the pool was opened in the spring, the Beatbot did an initial cleaning of the scum that set over the winter, and has since managed the water line to prevent any buildup.
- It skims the surface. The product does a great job swimming along the surface of the entire pool, using its powerful suction power to collect leaves and dirt as it propels through the pool water. The filter tray captures everything and it's easy to empty after use.
- It clarifies the water, too. The product has a built-in water clarifier that spreads agents during the cleaning, and it's the first robotic pool cleaner to incorporate this technology. It learns the size of your pool and adapts the dosage based on your pool's needs.

Additionally, Beatbot is the first to integrate these features into a pool robot:
- Industry's First 9-Motor System. Beatbot AquaSense Pro has unmatched cleaning performance and mobility (unprecedented propulsion and traction).
- Industry's First true Smart Multi-Sensor Route Planning. It includes a Smart Chip + IMU + 20 Ultrasonic Sensors
- Smart Return and Surface Parking. Beatbot AquaSense Pro intelligently returns after cleaning, rises to the water's surface and parks near the wall for easy retrieval like a puppy waiting for a treat.
- Industry's First CleverNav™ Advanced Path Planning. The vacuum will plan the most efficient cleaning paths, eliminating overlaps and ensuring a spotless pool with no missed areas. (It follows an S-shaped cleaning pattern for pool floor and surface cleaning; N-shaped cleaning pattern for walls and waterline cleaning.)
- Industry's First Pool Robot with Simulated Flight Propulsion Design. This enables floating and gliding across the water's surface.
Let's Talk Looks
So, yes, your friends might say it looks like an oversized Motorola flip phone (how rude), but the Beatbot pool cleaner is sleek, compact, and easy to store between uses. It's slightly larger than our indoor Roomba vacuum cleaner but is sturdy and well-constructed. It's lightweight and easy to carry, even when we're hauling it out of the water after it finishes its chores.
Ultrasonic Sensors + AI Algorithms
The Beatbot excels over other robotic cleaners, due in part to its smart features. It connects to our home's Wi-Fi network and can is controlled via a smartphone app. This advanced feature allows us to monitor progress, and receive maintenance alerts. Plus, it syncs with Alexa and Google Home for enhanced notifications and to enable voice control.
Its ability to create smart routes, eliminate overlaps, and efficiently clean over every inch of your pool is really next-level. The product also switches to DeepSense mode when it notices curves in the walls or special construction details. It has 20 sensors, is powered by a Quad-Core 1.8GHz Processor, and received an iF award in 2024 for its Eco-Friendly and Cordless Submarine Propulsion Design.
Excellent Battery Life
The Beatbot AquaSense Pro charges in 3 hours and lasts about 9.5 hours. Battery life is influenced by the types of jobs it is requested to do, for example, on days we schedule both waterline cleaning and skimming (Pro Mode), it seems to lose battery life faster than on days when we only schedule floor cleanings and clarification (Quick Mode).
Adapts Well to Larger Pool Sizes With Integrated Features
Our swimming pool is roughly 20 feet x 40 feet and contains 33,000 gallons of water. It's not perfectly rectangular, and it has various curves as well as tiers for seating and standing along the walls in the deep end. It also has steps leading into the shallow end. There's one tight corner next to a bottom step where the Beatbot has trouble getting into, but our traditional pool vacuum had the same issue fitting in that spot, too. It's a pool design flaw, not a product flaw :)
Better Than Hiring a Pool Boy
One summer a few years ago, we hired a pool company on contract to help us maintain our pool. It was convenient at the time, but in hindsight, there were more than a few occasions when we wished we had timed the schedule so they'd be there the morning of a planned pool party. Beatbot makes it easy to have an impromptu gathering in a freshly cleaned pool. We simply schedule it to vacuum when we wake up in the morning, and without a second thought, it's done and hovering at the side of the pool before any of our guests arrive.
